Hello Dear Readers:
Ana loves playing dress up and she loves costumes (hmmm, I wonder where she gets THAT from?). Lately her favorites are princesses, superheroines and pirates. So it was so timely and fun to be offered to review a cute toddler pirate costume from BuyCostumes.com. I had my choice of costumes so we chose this one: High Seas Buccaneer Girl Toddler Costume.
First, the costume arrived very quickly and in its own costume bag with a colorful photo and a description of what was included: The one piece dress with tie up adjustable front, boot covers, bandana, belt and hat. (The sword is daddy's from his costume box). Right away, I really liked that the blouse was included on the dress, and that the vest part was adjustable since Ana is such a peanut. She is 25 lbs and almost 3!
The belt was a little big, so it slips off, but it will fit her someday so we put it back in the package for some of these photos. The boot covers fit perfectly and the hat was adorable. The fabric is of a good quality,and although it looks different than the photos on the site (less shiny), it is soft and comfortable. Ana immediately fell in love and now begs me to put it on her and , "play pirates". She got right into character for these photos and was even "arghing" while she moved around the deck.
I really love the colorful skirt and belt. It looks heavy, but really it is quite light. It attaches with velcro, super easy for off and on. We will be using this costume for many playdates and pirate costume play fun in the future and buying more costumes from BuyCostumes as well! Great quality, fast shipping and amazing selection.
