Happy Summer!! It is getting kinda busy around here. Lots of fun outdoor activities, family fun and things to do now that the weather is lovely and school is out everywhere in the Hudson Valley. Last week was more of a challenge than I thought it would be. I had 2 cheat nights, and missed a couple of workouts, but that is life. And come Monday, I just got right back on the horse.
I knew I had a fancy food event for Samsung House/Klout on (last) Friday night in NYC, so I decided to have 2 cheat dinners (Fri and Sat) instead of a whole cheat day. And it worked out, although I do feel like I got a little behind. I missed a couple of workouts due to headaches and scheduling. But, when I did workout I did full force. A mix of running, HIITS and Tabatas with Nichole. A good mix. In case you are late to the party, and do not know what Tabatas here , here is a quick explantion;
Tabata Training: "Any exercise can be incorporated into the Tabata training. However the basic outline of the Tabata training method are as follows:
• 4 minutes long (whole Tabata Session)
• 20 seconds of intense training
• 10 seconds of rest
• Total of 8 sessions or rounds"
These can include pushups, side planks, t thrusters and other common exercises. It is all in the timing. I do love/hate them. But they are definitely making me stronger.
I am not posting my stats this week, because it is my bloat week. So next week I will add my measurements back in and maybe release a photo or two. Though, part of me just wants to wait until the 12 weeks of the program are done.
Now that I am halfway through this week as well I am finding I am less stringent on eating all of my meals, so I have to make sure that I do that. Skipping a meal here or there is not a good thing and I know cutting calories is not the answer to this working.
Stats will be coming this weekend, or most probably Monday as the weekend is busy and I have an audition Monday early afternoon !
