Adoptable Pet of the Week: Johnny NYC ASPCA

johnnypitbull2
Dear sweet Olivia at the NYC ASPCA has been so kind in writing up these weekly Pet of the week Posts and I only wish I could adopt each one of them and bring them up here to run around, play and live well.

This weeks pet of the week is  Johnny! Johnny is a 4-year-old pit bull mix who has a true heart of gold.  He was rescued by the ASPCA’s Humane Law Enforcement, and was unable to use his back legs to walk. An underlying spinal-cord infection was the cause, and with perseverance and determination, Johnny is now able to move around on his own! He is so happy to have mobility again, this handsome boy loves a good leisurely walk around the block. Not really a fan of toys, Johnny absolutely loves cuddling with everyone he meets and will plop his big head right in your lap for some affection and love. This gentle giant will make a great pet for someone who is looking for a couch potato snuggle partner. Johnny also likes other dogs, but needs a canine friend who is gentle because he will always be a bit limited in his movements. Johnny is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
